The Many Great Neighborhoods of Manhattan

When someone asks me to list the attributes of Manhattan, I really don’t know where to start! It’s lively, convenient, and absolutely beautiful; once you visit New York it will become one of your favorite places in the world.

As a resident, the diversity of this fabulous district is one of the things I love most. I’ve been away from home and seen as much as I can, but I wish I had time to fully immerse myself in the wonders of this city, but sadly it’s just too big.

Let’s leave the negatives behind and focus on the best that Manhattan has to offer. These are just some of my personal recommendations for you to refer to the next time you come to take a bite out of the big apple.

My first stop is the fabulous East Village. I visit this area regularly to check out the great bars and restaurants, try them out for yourself.

Although it primarily caters to people in their 20s and 30s, there is an incredible selection of restaurants, bars, shops, and lounges. All nesting together in an area that can only be, at most, a square mile. As you go you enter the Lower East Side which is a lot like the East Village.

At first glance, the appearance of the West Village looks very similar, but you’ll notice that it is geared towards the middle age groups. This is a very attractive area, full of intimate cafes and designer clothes. The abundance of trees makes this area both attractive and popular.

With Central Park as its centerpiece, the Upper West Side blends natural beauty with all that Manhattan has to offer. It is a very attractive area that should be included in every trip to New York.

So now you know my favorite areas of Manhattan. Trust me, I could sit here and brag about this amazing city all day, but I’ll stop now before I bombard you!
