How to make watermelon ice cream
Summer is here and everyone likes the idea of ice cream. If you’re hosting a dinner party or just taking some friends over for dinner, you’ll surprise them when you pull out this frozen dessert. It looks like a watermelon, even when you cut it. It even has the ‘seeds’. It is easy to do and very impressive.
Ingredients
Lime sorbet, softened
Raspberry sorbet, softened. Or you can use cherry or strawberry. It just needs to be red or pink.
mini chocolate chips
Line a large mixing bowl with the softened lime sorbet. Think of this coating as the skin of a watermelon. Don’t make it too thick, but don’t make it too thin either.
Next, mix the chocolate chips with the raspberry sorbet and fill the rest of the bowl. The red or pink sorbet is the inside of the watermelon and the mini chocolate chips are the watermelon seeds.
Seal the container and refreeze the watermelon sorbet. Once the sorbet has refrozen, remove the seal and place the bowl upside down on a large plate. Use a warm towel at the bottom of the bowl to help loosen the ice cream. Cut the “watermelon” and serve. When served, each piece will look like a watermelon slice and taste delicious too.
