A brief history of video games

Video games were invented not long ago. But the games are much older than you might imagine. The oldest game is “Tennis de dos”. This game was invented by John Higgingbotham in 1958. The video game of that time consisted of a horizontal line on the screen along a perpendicular lie to represent the network. The next video game was invented in 1960 with “Spacewar”. The following game was played using the television.

The arcade video game “Computer Space” appeared in the early 1970s. This is how the new video game inventions came. Arriving today we find thousands of games. These are readily available. The creators of the games continue to improve them from time to time to cope with the current situation.

All games have become downloadable. Therefore, people can play games on their phones and tablets instead of buying video games. The game can have 3D graphics, realistic movements and exceptional sound quality. The biggest and most common names in video games are X-Box, Game Cube, PlayStation 2, etc.

Some of the common concerns in this industry are that children are more attracted to these games. Where games increase your mental activity but decrease your physical activity. Some parents even go so far as to blame the manufacturers. Therefore, the creators have introduced interactive games. Added dance pads require players to mimic dance moves. Various other technologies are also being adopted to make the system on par with the age of the player.

The advantages of using video games for children-

• Makes children interactive. Those who have always been shy could make new friends in virtual media. Often these friendships can be real.

• Minimize stress factors if your child suffers from anxiety. This usually happens due to stressful life and excessive concentration in the daily routine without having time for oneself.

• Increases mental activity. A player must remain vigilant about all aspects of the game in order not to be defeated. Thus, this in real life increases alertness and awareness in the person.

• Leads to brain growth with increases in mental activity.

• Increases problem solving skills. This happens because the games are full of problems and in order to win one has to solve the problems.

Thus, to conclude, it can be said that the video game industry has come a long way. It will continue to evolve and change thus coming to terms with the needs of modern men.
