Are You Making These Stupid Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Mistakes?

If you are making these stupid search engine web marketing mistakes then it may be one of the reasons why you are broke and frustrated trying to quit this business. You must do an EDUCATED web search engine optimization all the time. Period!

I am very excited … I just got my company website on the first page of Google above 11,600,000 pages !! Yes this is ELEVEN MILLION PAGES! Now I want to share my experience with anyone who is interested in this.

Here’s my personal checklist of SEO mistakes to avoid. If you stay away from these mistakes, you will get more exposure in search engines (search engine optimization seo):

1. Don’t do keyword research first – It’s best to start with keyword research, because this is how you will attract the most of your prospects.

2. Optimizing for a broad keyword instead of a long-tail keyword – I strongly suggest doing long-tail keywords instead of broad keywords; Long tail keywords are more specific to your potential customer’s needs and have less competition. For example, a very competitive broad keyword is “Home Business”, but a long tail keyword might be “The Best Easy Home Business Idea”.

3. Not having a keyword in your domain name.- Many potential customers are looking for your PRODUCT and not your COMPANY. This is why you need to have a domain name with your target keyword included. For example, if the broad targeting keyword for your business is “tires,” your domain name should be “http://www.tires.com” (that keyword may no longer be available), so we should search for a long tail keyword like “http://www.michelinusedtires.com” then it will rank higher in search engines.

4. Do not include your keyword in the title: Search engines will give your page a higher ranking if you include your keywords in the title.

5. Do not include your keyword in the description. – If our specific keywords are in the page description (you can include the same name as the page title, such as “Top 3 SEO Tips for Search Engine Optimization“), again increase the chances of positioning the website in search engines.

6. Do not include your keyword in page file names: The page file name should contain your keywords as it is a great incentive for search engines to rank your page higher. For example: domain.com / yourkeyword1 / yourkeyword2

7. Do not include keywords in image Alt tags. – All images should be optimized as well, as search engine robots cannot read images, but they do read the image’s alt tag. Therefore, use your keywords within the alternate image tags.

8. Do not use Anchor Text Optimization.- When other sites or pages link to you, make sure that the text of your link includes your keyword phrase. This is especially useful if your site contains many pages, because it doesn’t matter if those links come from the same website as your page … capice? 😉

9. Forgetting new content – Robots love new content, so you want to update your website frequently with relevant content. This will attract search spiders and help you scale higher on SERPs (search engine results pages).

10. Do not make submissions to the web directory and article directory.- Improve your search engine web marketing with one-way links for directory submissions and article submissions. Over time, this will help you build a lot of one-way inbound links and eventually get your website to rank higher in search engines. The top three web directories that I submit any new web page I create to are Google, Yahoo, and Bing (formerly Live.com).

11. Do not use sitemaps.- After creating a sitemap, you must submit it to the above directories (at least) as soon as you create it, with this, you will have indexed your pages faster and more accurately.

12. Not having RSS.- An RSS Feed is extremely useful if you have a page that is updated very frequently. This tool will inform other sites of your new information (submitting content to other sites is known on the Internet as “syndication”). After updating (or creating) a page, I recommend you also ping pingomatic.com

13. Google Local.- This Google service has been increasingly influencing search engines. Submit your business to http: //www.google.com/local/add … and you know what? It doesn’t matter if you have a home business.

14. Do not link from your social sites: you must have in your social network accounts (such as Twitter, Facebook, etc.), links that lead to your website. Also, in your bio description whenever you talk about your business or your name, include a link to your site, if you can.

15. THE WORST: Not understanding the popularity of the links. LINKS IS THE ONLY THING FOR GOOGLE. You should also know that linking is the most important job you can do in SEO. Period. Remember that links are like “votes”, if you have many QUALITY sites that “vote” for your page, then you will be a celebrity on the Internet. A few years ago, a school project was created just to define the worth of a website, simply by finding the quality and quantity of the sites that were linked to it; And that, my friend, was the way Google was created. Today, they are still looking for basically the same thing. Don’t forget this one.
