BPO service providers

Customers are the main concern of all organizations. Satisfying customers has been considered a Herculean task, until the introduction of the concept of outsourcing. Outsourcing companies provide leverage to companies in handling various issues. Since the companies are trying to get help from them to carry out their business functions, these outsourcing companies are usually called business process outsourcing companies.

BPO = CALL CENTER?

Many lay people keep this question in their mind. A general notion in society. But the answer is no. Like front office and back office jobs in offices, BPOs also provide front office (customer service) and back office (HR, finance, and accounting) services.

The BPO industry has seen a recent boom in India. It’s easy to strategize. But implementing the strategies is a different task. In the process of expansion, it may not be feasible for companies to concentrate well in all areas of operations. Here comes the role of a third party service provider that helps companies to focus more on the core business.

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES

BPO companies provide attractive salaries and benefits to employees. Job opportunities are also huge in BPO. If you are a graduate with good communication skills, your career security is guaranteed in BPO. The company would be providing training programs.

But are they that excited to join BPO? Especially girls!!

You may not have forgotten Prathibha Murthy, an innocent girl who was an employee of Hewlett Packard Global Delivery India Center; brutally raped and murdered by the driver of the company car.

Is that incident haunting our girls?

Yes, to a certain extent it is true. At least the families would be concerned about the same.

But now the scenario has changed. Companies are now taking all necessary steps to ensure the safety of their female staff. Companies are doing background checks on drivers and supervisors before hiring them. A product called Auto Vigil is introduced to ensure the safety of female staff working night shifts. The product was introduced by RPMishra, president of Mercury Infocomm. It has two components: mother unit (inside the car) and remote unit (with the woman). The mother unit has a built-in automatic security system and trans receiver, as well as a speaker.

The equipment has the following advantages

1) Once the car arrives, the woman can press a button on the remote control and confirm that the vehicle has been shipped by the company itself. If it is the same vehicle, a flash and sound will be emitted from the vehicle.

2) If the driver misbehaves with her, then a siren and flash lights will go off, drawing the mob’s attention to the vehicle. At the same time, an SMS is sent to the BPO administrator, the police and the passenger’s family informing the location. The BPO administrator can only disable the sound.

3) The device is cost effective; cost around Rs.20.00/- only

Despite all these problems, we cannot forget the fact that BPOs help increase the flexibility of organizations by reducing costs, focusing on core competencies and increasing the speed of the process. In the coming era, BPO would be a constantly booming industry.
