Christmas ideas for neighborhood parties

Let’s all try something new and exciting this holiday season. I recently helped a couple in Florida who wanted to do something innovative this year for the holidays. I suggested a holiday block party.

Of course, this would only work if you live in an area where the weather is nice in December. If you are lucky enough to have this nice weather and you don’t dream of a white Christmas, let me give you some tips and ideas.

First, you’d make some really nice Christmas invitations to send out to your neighbors and friends. You must remember that many people are busy during this time of year, so I suggest you do it at the beginning of December. Give some dates and let the masses decide when it will be.

Second, you’ll want all participating houses to know that they should plan to decorate the house, in a festive way according to the religion. You have to try to accommodate everyone.

Next, I hire a DJ to put on festive, festive music. He would have a pony ride and organize some games for the event. You can find lots of ideas at theblockpartyhome.com.

Someone has to dress up as Santa Claus and give presents. I would like all the parents of the participating houses to get something for their children and give it to whoever is going to be Santa. You don’t want to leave anyone out, so when setting up a family budget, be sure to put aside some money to buy some cheap toys to hand out in case the parents give a gift.

Some other ideas. Bring the Christmas tree to the driveway. celebrate a

50/50 Raffle (you can get tickets at theblockpartyhome.com). Have a cake eating contest, just be creative.
