Double Reverse Epulaeryu Poem – Jamaican Jerk Chicken

The poem “Double Inverse Epulaeryu” is a normal Epulaeryu with two reverse additions that focus on succulent dishes and exotic drinks. It consists of seven verses of thirty-three (33) syllables with reverse form. The first verse has seven (7) syllables, the second verse five (5), the third verse seven (7), the fourth verse five (5), the fifth verse five (5), the sixth verse three (3), and the seventh verse has only one (1) syllable ending with an exclamation point. The number of syllables in the poetic form Epulaeryu is 7/5/7/5/5/3/1. The reverse form comes before the regular form with lines of 1/3/5/5/7/5/7; therefore, the Double Reverse Epulaeryu poem is 1/3/5/5/7/5/7 7/5/7/5/5/3/1/ with a total of sixty-six (66) syllables. Each line has a thought related to the main dish. The poetic form of Epulaeryu, which has corresponding lines built around the main course, concludes with the final line expressing the writer’s emotion and feelings about the food.
