Glee covers songs from the 80s

The hit television series Glee is currently in its fourth season and is still gaining the same popularity as it was first shown. Glee showcases the talents of the characters through the singing of songs from classics to recent hits. They are not only beautiful actors, but also magnificent singers. Some of the best known songs that the cast have performed in their own versions are “Firework” by Katy Perry, “Toxic” by Britney Spears and “Don’t Stop Believing” by The Journey. However, despite having a younger audience, his choice of songs has not been limited to songs by today’s famous artists. They have also chosen songs of the year from the great ballads: the 80s. These are some of the songs that they sang during several episodes.

The cast of Glee left behind a remarkable version of “True Colors” that was originally performed by Cyndi Lauper before season 1 ended. Phil Collins also has his own rendition of this heartwarming song. It was a perfect song to end the season.

In another episode, Finn Hudson also performed his own version of “Don’t Dream It’s Over.” It was originally sung by Crowded House, which came out in 1986. Upon its release, it immediately reached number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Another song from the 80’s from the Flashdance movie titled “What a Feeling” originally sung by Cara was also performed by the character of Rachelle. Until now, that version still has the same impact that it first aired on the radio.

Through brilliant new musical arrangements, the current generation is being introduced to the music of the 80s. Thanks to television shows like Glee and their incredible staff and crew because they continually give new meaning and reintroduce songs that have meaningful messages that some they were once an important part of the lives of previous generations.
