Hero Hunk Vs Bajaj Pulsar – Bike Comparison

Hero Honda is one of the largest motorcycle manufacturers in the country and a household name. They continued to be a monopoly until Bajaj completely changed the Indian motorcycling game with their Pulsar bikes. Since then, the 150cc segment has grown to become more attractive and exciting. But lately, the Pulsar bikes are having a tough time against the Hero bikes. Let’s see a comparison between Hero Hunk and Bajaj Pulsar.

The Hero Hunk is a 150cc motorcycle released by Hero Honda in 2007. In 2011, Hero MotoCorp gave the Hunk a facelift, offering it with the option of a rear disc brake.

In 2001, Bajaj Auto launched Pulsar and the brand took the company to dizzying heights. Initially, Pulsar was released in two versions, 150cc and 180cc. The 150cc Pulsar DTS-I released in 2009 is a popular Bajaj product.

The Pulsar 150 DTS-I with kick start and auto start options has a combination console with digital speedometer and fuel gauge and an analog tachometer with low fuel and low oil indications.

Hero Hunk comes with a kick or autostart system. The instrument cluster has a chrome trim and has a digital speedometer, but the RPM gauge in the center is still analog. The speedometer includes the fuel gauge, high beam, and turn indicators.

The Hunk has an air-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-stroke SOHC engine with a displacement of 149.2 cc. This intelligent motor offers a maximum power of 14.4 HP at 8,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 12.8 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Hunk has a 5 speed constant mesh 1 down 4 up gear pattern and multi-disc wet clutch. The mileage is 55 kmpl. Hunk has a fuel capacity of 12.4 liters. Hunk’s engine can hit the 0-60 km/h mark in just 5.6 seconds. The length of the piece is 2080 mm.

The Pulsar DTS-I is powered by a 149cc, 15bhp, 12Nm torque engine with carburettor-type fuel system and dual-spark ignition. The Bajaj Pulsar has best miles of 68 kmpl. The Pulsar takes 5.6 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h and has a top speed of 110 km/h. Pulsar has a large fuel capacity of 15 liters. The 2055mm long Pulsar weighs 143kg.

The Hero Hunk is available in two variants, the Hero Hunk Drum and the Hero Hunk Disc, which are priced between Rs 66,000 and Rs 69,000. The Hunk is available in a range of colors including black, red, panther black, blue, and silver.

The Bajaj Pulsar is slightly cheaper and starts at Rs 64000. The Bajaj Pulsar comes in Plasma Blue, Cocktail Wine Red and Midnight Black colors.
