How to Find Cheap Garden Sheds on Craigslist
There are several places online where you can find cheap garden sheds, but one of the best places I’ve found is Craigslist. Craigslist has the largest online classifieds in the world and you’ll even find almost anything you want, including garden sheds. In this article, I’ll show you a couple of tips to help you find some sheds that will typically be much less expensive than buying one and one from the many home improvement stores.
What search terms are you using?
When searching for a cheap garden shed, you should keep in mind that not everyone is going to use these exact terms when posting or searching for a shed. For example, some examples of related search terms could be: garden sheds, sheds for sale, outdoor sheds, garden sheds, etc. So when you do your initial search, try typing the exact phrase “cheap garden sheds” if your search returns very few or no results, try typing a broader term like “garden shed” or “shed”.
Search by dealer or by owner?
There are several different ways you can narrow down your search on Craigslist and one of them is something most people don’t even think about. There is a small box at the top of the screen that allows you to narrow your search by who is selling the item. There are two different options: someone who sells something privately, by owner, and a company or business that sells that same product, by distributor. So at first, make sure you have both boxes checked so you can see search results for these two types of sellers.
What about the surrounding areas…
When people search for things on Craigslist, they often limit themselves to their local Craigslist area. I’ve found that sometimes I search for something in the local results and it returns nothing, but some results will show up under my local listing in the surrounding areas of Craigslist ads for similar listings. So don’t just look in one particular area, broaden your horizons and search for as many nearby Craigslist listings as you can.
Do they have sheds in the city?
There probably wouldn’t be much point in looking for something like a shed in a populated area like a major city. This particular item will be found in more rural areas because people who live in regions like that are more likely to have one or more sheds on their property. People who live in the city may not have as much space, so not many people will have sheds for sale to live in in areas like this. So try to think about what kind of area you are going to find what you are looking for.
