Indian Baby Food Recipes for Toddlers

It is important to provide your young children with healthy and nutritious foods to meet their daily needs. It’s a good idea to introduce your toddler to a variety of healthy, homemade foods. It is important to keep in mind that each child is unique and we must follow their instructions when feeding them. Expert advice is that breakfast should be eaten within 1-2 hours of waking up as it is the first main meal of the day and helps break the fast, as the name suggests. Here are some breakfast recipes that are easy to make. and they are healthy too:

Sooji and Vegetable Chiller Oatmeal
Ingredients: Sooji, rolled oats, onion, carrot, coriander leaves, salt, turmeric, butter, buttermilk, and tomato sauce.

Preparation time: 20 to 25 minutes

Preparation: roast the sooji and oats well and reserve. Wash and clean the vegetables. Chop all the vegetables finely. In a bowl, mix the sooji, oats, greens, and buttermilk. Mix well and prepare a dosa consistency batter. Add salt and turmeric. Paint the pan with a little butter. For half a ladle of dough in a preheated pan. Cook well on both sides. Use different cookie cutters to give it fun shapes. Serve it with tomato sauce on the side.

Idli Vegetable Sprout
Ingredients: Sprouted moong daal, peas, onion, carrot, bell pepper, sooji, besan/rice flour, coriander leaves, salt, turmeric, curd, and butter

Preparation time 20 to 25 minutes

Preparation: Wash, clean and finely chop all the vegetables. For boil the sprout and peas. Drain and let cool. Grind the sprouts and peas in a blender. Mix together all the vegetables, the sprout and pea mixture, a tablespoon of besan, a tablespoon of sooji, and the curd. Mix well and prepare idli in the form of little balls. Preheat the Idli maker and put these balls in it. Steam for 10 to 12 minutes. Serve with chutney or tomato ketchup.

Ingredients: Slices of whole wheat bread, pizza sauce, mayonnaise, onion, tomato, salt, slices of cheese, butter and tomato sauce.

Preparation: Cut the edges of the bread, wash and chop all the vegetables finely. Spread mayonnaise and pizza sauce evenly on bread. Put a handful of chopped vegetables and cover with a slice of cheese. Brush preheated skillet with butter; put these slices of bread on it. Toast it for a couple of minutes. Serve it with tomato sauce on the side. Use different cookie cutters to give it fun shapes.

The food we offer our children must please them, try to make it colorful. Young children are known to be fussy and picky eaters. They want to assert their newfound independence by feeding themselves. Snacks are one of the best food options for two-year-olds, as they can eat them without creating too much of a mess.
