iPod Nano 4GB Silver – Apple reaps benefits again

Apple Inc. released its latest iPod Nano 4GB Silver portable media player following the success of iPod. The first generation of the mid-range model in the iPod family was introduced in 2005. Apple’s latest media player uses flash memory like its iPod Shuffle predecessor but with a miniaturized version of the screen and click wheel. Since its introduction, this model has been updated twice by the company. It’s the use of flash memory that sets this model apart from the iPod Classic.

The new Apple iPod Nano 4GB Silver is comfortable working with iTunes on Mac OSX and Microsoft Windows. This latest version of iPod connects to the computer via the proprietary dock connector in the same way that the third and fourth generation iPods did. The iPod nano took just nine months to develop. Available in two colors, black and white, this media player also has a 4 GB memory that can store 1000 songs. The new Apple iPod nano 4GB silver carries the support of general purpose integrated circuits. This latest Apple model weighs 50% less than its successor. There was great excitement in the market at the launch of the Silver. The positive response resulted in strong sales that created wonders. Apple Inc. managed to reap huge profits from the sale of this iPod.

Along with this media player, Apple has also released some accessories including silicone armbands and “tubes”. These accessories protect the media player from scratches. The lanyard-headset combo hangs around your neck to prevent tangling of headphone cords. Although this Apple media player uses the same connection as the Apple iPod FireWire Cable, it does not support synchronization over a FireWire connection. The Silver has a stopwatch and multi-time zone watch function. It also has a click wheel feature that will lock your iPod when not in use and protect your calendar and contacts. There were minor criticisms against this model. But they were established in days and sales skyrocketed creating new records.
