Look good in a men’s hoodie

In the past, men’s hoodies were stereotyped as only for jocks on the way to or returning from a run, game, or some other form of physical activity, or alternatively by someone engaging in or contemplating criminal activity. Today, however, they are seen in virtually everyone under retirement age and some older.

The hoodie is a very useful piece of clothing, and hopefully it’s shedding its bad boy reputation. It’s easy to use, easy to wash, and can be put on anything. Worn under a dressy jacket, a hoodie can add an air of casual style. Worn with jeans and fashionable sneakers, it can give a youthful and sporty look. Virtually all of the best menswear designers now make hoodies. Although they may be called hooded sweaters, hoodies, or even track jackets or zip-up tops, we know a hoodie when we see one. Armani, Ralph Lauren, Dolce & Gabbana, and Gucci make men’s hoodies. The hoodie is quite practical to wear all year round and is fashionable this season when dressing it up. Wearing it under a jacket or coat or pairing it with a shirt and tie creates a fun, young look that also means business.

Of course, the sports hoodie is still very popular. Surf hoodies by Rip Curl, Quiksilver and Billabong, with or without sleeves, are de rigueur among young surfers around the world. All the major sportswear brands like Fila, Adidas, Lacoste, and Nike have their own hoodies, as do Timberland and Levi’s. It seems like there isn’t a sports team in America that doesn’t have its name or logo emblazoned on a sweatshirt in the team’s colors, and every college student probably has a hoodie for their college or university.

The fact that certain handsome male movie stars and celebrities are often seen wearing hoodies has made wearing men’s hoodies much more acceptable to men in general. If it’s good enough for David Beckham and Brad Pitt, what man wouldn’t want to wear a hoodie? Although the men’s hoodie is considered a relatively recent fashion phenomenon, its origins date back to the 1930s.

There are so many different designs of men’s hoodies that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to get one that is quite original. Although paying a little more for a high-quality fabric is probably worth it, as the best fabric will be more durable and will withstand many washings. Today’s hoodies don’t just appeal to young men. It’s hard not to be a fan of such a functional, fashionable, practical and comfortable garment. Plus, the variety of styles and materials available means you can have several without all looking the same. To hunt for a bargain, look for name-brand hoodies at discount prices, either at department stores, discount stores, or online streetwear stores.
