Movie plans for 2010

I have been watching movies with my wife since we met and I think this is an activity that a couple could do together. It has also become a little break away from the kids, the three of them, that my wife uses to do some light shopping while she waits for the movie to start.

However, I do take note of your preferences when choosing the movie to watch. I mean, I stopped watching crude war movies, like El Pacífico, which he doesn’t like. I guess most women don’t really like war movies.

-Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1

Let me clarify this at first: I have not read a single book and I do not intend to. I find the movie experience better than the reading. When Harry Potter started, I absolutely refused to watch it because I thought it was more for children. For example, Harry Potter was played by a very young actor and the way Voldemort is defeated in the final scene is too easy.

Fortunately, as the films have progressed, they have become much more mature to watch, with the child actors growing up and beginning to look too old for their characters. They tackle many current issues and magic spells are fascinating to watch.

-Twilight: Eclipse

As a “macho” guy, I surprised myself by enjoying the Twilight movie series and have already seen the first 2. I haven’t seen many romantic movies in a while. My preference now is to watch movies with superpowers involved. I was wondering how Twilight would turn out, but vampires have turned out to be quite interesting.
