Roberts Liardon: Training, Raising, and Releasing God’s Generals Today!

I met Pastor Roberts Liardon through a friend in my youth group who gave me one of his sermons on audio. I was very hurt by his teachings on the life of the Spirit, which he listened to with fervor often. Then I first heard Roberts minister at Pastor Benny Hinn’s former church in Orlando, Florida.

Roberts has a unique divine grace upon him with which he can spiritually set a church in order while activating the gifts and callings of the believers present. I think I picked up this skill by being around and being a part of his ministry while attending his church and Bible school in California.

Not only has God taken Roberts to heaven, which he writes about in his book I Saw Heaven, but the Lord has also visited him in special ways. God has given Roberts specific instructions and a divine mandate to raise up five hundred missionaries, whom he is to send to foreign harvest fields to carry on the work of the gospel.

As of this writing, two hundred fifty-one missionaries have been sent so far to impact the nations of the world. I am proud to say that I graduated from Spirit Life Bible College’s charter class in 1994, after which I ministered in Africa as a result of being sent by Pastor Roberts. When Operation 500 was launched in 1999, I was among the first batch of missionaries sent out as arrows in the hand of the Lord.

The first two years of Operation 500 when I ministered throughout Southeast Asia was the best ministry experience of my life thus far. Deep in the heart of the 10/40 window, among the world’s least-reached people groups, I saw countless Buddhists, Hindus, and Muslims come to Christ.

I don’t know many men of God, other than Pastor Sunday in the Ukraine, who believe so much in the younger generation. There are not many who train, send and partly pay for their leaders to go abroad to make disciples of all nations.

In an age when the American Church is drunk with entertainment, men like Roberts Liardon are needed to remind us of the Lord’s burden to “seek and save the lost” (Luke 19:10). Great gospel campaigns are wonderful, but it is face-to-face preaching of the gospel and personal interaction that produces the most profound transformation in people’s lives.

I thank God for the impartation that I myself have received from the ministry of Pastor Roberts Liardon. It was him that God used to teach me how to be a spiritual warrior and fight the fight of faith. When most around me were comfortable in the Christian country clubs of Christendom, Pastor Roberts was a roaring voice declaring that there was something more to look for in God. My spirit jumped and came alive with his preaching. Therefore, I ran into battle with all my might, and since then I have seen that nothing is impossible for him who believes. Thanks to Pastor Roberts and his example of what young people who are committed to God can do, I have preached the gospel in more than forty countries and six continents of the world.
