The apple diet is a question I get asked from time to time by weight loss clients when they first join my program. What is? Works? It is safe? All valid questions for those looking to lose weight fast. Asian women get their slim bodies using natural fruits like apples, but in a different way than you might expect. Let’s take a look at how apples can help or hurt your chances of burning fat fast!

Every time I hear about a fad diet that has the person hoping to lose weight eat nothing but a single food, my nonsense radar goes on high alert.

Typically, these diets have you eat the food in one, two, or even all three meals a day for one or two days in a row, followed by a single day of light meals.

The problem with this method is that we as humans cannot get 100% of the vitamins and nutrients we need from a single food source. We evolved over time by eating thousands of different types of food and taking in the best parts of each as we digest what we’ve eaten.

Now, this does not mean that the apple diet is a failure and that it will not help you lose weight. That is how…

The right time for an apple

Asian women use certain tricks to lose weight and maintain weight, and one of these tricks is to eat an apple before a big late night meal (dinner).

My own Chinese mother used to make me and my sisters eat at least half an apple about 20 minutes before dinner, she called it a “gift”, but she was actually passing on something her own mother had taught her years before about diet. .

By eating an apple before dinner, you get a tremendous boost of fiber and healthy calories. This has two effects in that it makes you feel more satisfied and less hungry when you sit down for your main meal, so you eat less, and you’ll also eat more slowly because you’re not as crazy with hunger.

You eat less and eat more slowly, which allows your body to better absorb the calories you’re consuming without exceeding your metabolism’s ability to burn those calories for energy. Just that one simple action, an apple before dinner, can cause you to eat 200-400 fewer calories at dinner…which in one month means you saved 6,000-12,000 calories you would have otherwise consumed!

Little things like this can go a long way. While eating apples all the time on the Apple Diet is too extreme, the apple-before-dinner trick could be the perfect spark that ignites a better body for the rest of her life…
