The best way to remove bathroom wall panels

The interior decoration of a bathroom can make and ruin a person’s home at the same time. However, if done perfectly, it can be an oasis and a peaceful place that you can easily use as a reflection of your own lifestyle. However, remodeling your bathroom and bathroom wall paneling to get to that point can be quite daunting, as it simply means you need to remove the wall paneling.

This process is considered easy and at the same time difficult depending on the type of adhesive used in the paneling, as well as the firmness with which it is adhered to the wall. The best thing about this is that the tools and mechanism are readily available. However, even with this guarantee, the removal procedure can be a bit complicated and even take a large number of hours to complete, especially if the bathroom wall panels are wide and the backboard is heavily glued. With that being said, here is the best way to accomplish this removal process.

• First, make sure you have everything you need to make the process easier and save you time. Once you have everything, use a rag on the ground to collect all the fragments. When doing this, make sure you have used protective devices such as gloves, a dust mask, and a safety mask.

• Start with molding, especially if your panels are made from molds. Use a sharp chisel on the edge of the trim and hit it loose with a hammer. Once the trim is loose, pull its edge out. Do this until it is completely removed from the bathroom wall.

• In most cases, the edge of a panel will meet the bathroom wall. As long as this is the case, it is worth setting the chisel at this point and hammering it until it slides under the flooring. Once you’re done, simply move the chisel aiming to loosen the edge.

• Underneath the edge that has come loose, you will find a lever that you will be asked to pry up. However, when doing this, be very careful not to cause any scratches to the surface of the wall below.

• Once this is done, simply hold the plank loose and gently pull it to your side. Keep pulling making sure materials are not thrown away in the process. If you find that the wall panels are a little stubborn, use the chisel to loosen the adhesion between the board and the wall a little step by step.

• Finally, open the doors and windows so there is some ventilation in the bathroom. Spread some adhesive remover on it and let it sit for some time. Then remove it and give the wall a good rinse with clean water and a damp towel.
