Football Party – A Salute to the Pigskin

Every football game that is broadcast on television is a reason to party with family and friends. Bring these game day occasions to life – here are some easy tips to make you the hostess with the most! This is NO yet another party plan, check it out! Wherever the TV is, decorate the room.

As if it were a college campus home football game, decorate in the team colors with lots of balloons and streamers. If you have football jerseys, helmets, footballs (borrow from your kids and their friends) and if you plan to have football parties again, think about investing in some football or cheerleading decorations.



Touchdown and foul awards

This will amuse your guests throughout the game… you can ask family, friends, neighbors and collect strange gifts, even strange, white elephant type. I bet that if you search your own drawers, closets, children’s rooms, garage, maybe even the garden or tool shed, you’ll find things; See a garage sale, stop by and take the opportunity. First…Second Quarters

Provide chips, dips, fresh vegetables, crackers, and cheese in the TV party room so guests can snack during the first and second quarters.

Halftime

Let the grill party begin. Keep it simple if you’re making the entire buffet yourself: hot dogs, mustard, relishes, sauerkraut, ketchup, cold cuts or freshly baked beans and macaroni salad, nachos, chili. Ask your guests if they are on a diet or food program so they or you can provide more nutritious foods to support them.

Third Quarter and Fourth Quarter

This is a good time for dessert. Provide cupcakes to avoid having to cut and serve. If it’s a potluck, let the elections begin!
